“I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
~Martin Luther King Jr.
This is a very important message we need to spread right now. For as far as we’ve come as a society, we’re rejoicing in and celebrating the death of a person. It’s almost barbaric.
Yes sooo true!
Totally agree, I am glad to hear so many people are becoming aware of this. A friend of mine posted this video on you tube, its of a poem she wrote, you might like it and it relates very much to this.
Much love

Thanks for sharing. So true.
For me, MLK was a contemporary Buddha, like Ghandhi, like all those with the courage to love in the face of hate.
Yes so true! Love how you put it: “Courage to love in the face of hate.” Definitely takes courage! Thank you for your lovely comments and for checking out the blog. Namaste. : )
